Beauty 101.

Ok, ok. I may not be the best person to talk about beauty (sambil menyorokkan jerawat di dagu),

but today I grab Clinique's dengan tak sengaja. rela hati. My husband said that I am too freak out. yerlah, awak ejek saya tiap-tiap hari dengan jerawat ini jadi tensi tau!

We went to Sogo this morning to get my dosage of MAC powder and a new blusher. Err.. I didn't mean to brag about this but I think make ups from make up counter really worth every money and it last longer than any pharmacy-based make ups. I used (and still using some of it now) to use those Revlon, Maybelline and Silkygirl too. But I am not a make up junkie as I only use face powder and a blusher in my daily basis. No eyeliner or eyeshadows or whatsoever because I am too lazy to clean it for prayers in the office. I only apply it sometimes when going out with mr husband as our outing time is short and I can clean those colors at home instead.

Okay, back to the Clinique story. After getting my dosage, I ternampak this Clinique counter but there was only one beauty consultant and she's attending a customer. So I drag mr husband to Semua House to get my hands on new scarves from Dir's. Yeay... I bought 5 new colorful Mortada scarves. :) and then we went back to Sogo and still the consultant is attending the same person. Knowing that she (typical cha-ya-nun-alif beauty consultant) will ignore me, I just browsing for their products at the counter and after 5 minutes we went off for lunch.

So after lunch, I decided to have a look once again at the counter and this time there is two additional consultant and I am happily don to the counter. Gladly, the consultant greeted me happily and started to examine my skin. I glance to her name tag, oh she is the senior consultant, Ms Irni. According to her, I have a very dry skin around my cheeks and a bit oily in a T- Zone area. And my zits is not that serious and she doesn't recommends me with all Anti Blemish products as it will be too harsh for my skin. She mix with other products (combining anti blemish and for dry/combination skin) and gave it a test at the back of my hand.

Another tips from Ms Irni are:-

1) Always always clean your skin with a cleansing milk. It's the best type that will remove all kinds of dirt. Those kind of wipes doesn't really helps though.

2) Then only proceed with a cleansing foam/gel/soap depending on your skin type.

3) Always tone your face from down to upward position.

4) Moisturise, moisturise and moisturise. Even if we have an oily skin, find a suitable one.

5) If we have a blemish skin, we MUST avoid any whitening, exfoliating or scrubbing products as it could worsen our skin.

So here are the products that I am using just now:-

Cleansing foam.

Anti blemish mask. 2X/week.

Clarifying lotion no 2 for dry/combination skin.

And I got a sample of anti blemish moisturiser and a lotion and a silver tote bag for free.

So my verdict after using it for the first time in a couple of hours ago: I feel okay, no tingling sensation on my face and after using the mask, the redness of zits has reduce.

I have an appointment with Ms Irni in two weeks time and we shall see how my skin is progressing. If it works for me (my definition of 'works for me' is no new blemishes and the current one dissapear), I shall continue and the best part is Clinique prices are slightly lower than Kose's. Great for me.

I will give update on my skin from time to time. Pray for my luck! Hopefully it works.
