I Heart Scarves.

Being a 'tudung-wearing girl woman, I always think that tudung is the most important accessory in order to enhance your look or the total outfit for the day. The color, the material or even the style is also contribute a lot.

Remember last time on 'tudung wardina' style? Every gal used to wear their tudung just like hers. Celebrity is just plain lucky, they set a style then comes the follower and currently is the 'Tudung Ekin/Munawwarah' mania. This has become a trend in my office now. It seems like every girl, in every level of the building, in every department and in every section has at least one person wearing this style. Only a few are not following the trend now like me and a few of my friends. Actually. i really want to try but i am afraid of the duplication. How we saw everyday, out of 80% of the tudung ekin gals in the office, 50% were caught wearing the same style and color especially the ones with patterns. and people around were like
" Eeehhh, tudung ko sama lah dengan tudung dia..bla bla bla..". Besides from afraid of the 'duplication issue', the main issue is I don't think i am suitable enough to wear it. I've tried my colleague's but all I can see in the mirror is a set of bun, extra chubby face like it is ready to blow up.. Haha, exagerate..exagerate.. No, really i have a set of very chubby face since i was small that everybody will say "tembamnya" aside from "sombongnya" or garangnya" remark when they first met me.

The only tudung that compliments my chubby face is the typical square scarves like bawal or, chiffon or the polyester. Bawal tudung is a basic tudung every gal should have. Koman-koman mesti ada tiga punya (in white, black or cream). This bawal tudung reminds me of the memories when i was working with N3C. I chose to have a simple bawal with a simple sulaman and beads only because it's cheaper than the over-the-top beads, or stones or sulaman. In fact all the female engineers were only wearing simple tudung everyday. But the female operators were vice versa. They have some sort of 'competing' with each other on "who is wearing the most heavy tudung with lots of stones and sulam". Seriously, your eyes will get itch of the sparkle especially when they walked in group.. Hahaha.. exagerate lagi.. I once was suprised when the akak process checker told the price of her tudung. it's 2 ratus beb... But then again, lantaklah orang tu nak pakai apa pun, duit dia bukan duit aku..hahaha.

Besides the muticolor bawal, i also like pattern scarves especially the ones with the RM 10 price. I have lots of them. colorful and very easy to wear and very cheap too. But the problem is there were few times a bought a "wrong" scarves. I don't know why but some of them is very hard to wear. I ended up wasting my time by choosing a different scarve as a last resort. I have around 12 can't-use-scarve and that is like wasting a hundred.. Hmmm..

Finally, I discover the Donatella and Mortada scarves. Not only for their pretty design but very affordable too. Some Mortada scarves have a similar design and material with Tie Rack's. How cool is that? and even cooler that you can get it a 1/3 of Tie Rack price. However, Tie Rack still offer the most quirky and lovable design of all. I always wonder how come they could come out with such a fabalous design??

These are among my first Mortada scarves. Notice the similar color? Because i was trying to suit my office uniform only later to find out that wearing the same color from head to toe it is soo yesterday..

These are my Tie Rack's. I got the first few from a friend who went for a vacation in Melbourne. The rest i got from sales blog Bulan Luna and Cinta Boutique. How i love dealing with them especially Bulan Luna for the super quick email responds and delivery and also being very-very friendly too. and luckily, at our office there are like 3 people je yang pakai Tie Rack,so selamat lah dari jadi mangsa duplicate.

These are another sets of scarves with yummy colors. But seriously, those yang shining tu sangat susah nak pakai. Setiap kali pakai mesti jatuh turun ke dahi.

I just got these Mortadas last monday and suddenly realized i bought more green color.

I got my Mortadas usually from Turkuaz boutique (opposite Sogo KL). The scarves here are very rare but as i went last monday, not much scarves left but i still bought three. The good thing about this boutique is they offer a membership card which entitle us to get 10% off the total amount. But the bad thing is some of the (indonesian) SA is arrogant macamlah jadi SA kat high-end boutique. Kat kedai jual tudung pun ko nak berlagak. Since i am looking for more scarves, i went window-shoped at Semua House and discover Dirs. My goodness..this is the heaven of all scarves. Many many many kind of scarves with pretty colors and design. How come i didn't discover this place earlier?? sungguh menyesal sebab dah beli 3 scarves tu.. and the SA is very good. She just let me to choose and wander around. Tak bunyik ape pun. and the best part is Mortada scarves at Dirs is RM3 cheaper than at Turkuaz.. lebih menyesal.. Tie Rack lookalike design pun punyelah banyak...

I am sharing my opinion with you gals as I know many people are drooling over Tie Rack's and Mortada is a very good bargain. No, this is not an advertorial but i like to share my happy moments so that you can be happy with pretty scarves too.. Hahaha..

Now the question is, when will i get to slim down my face? I want to wear tudung ekin... Huwaaa..
